Suzanna’s mother helped her husband grow their family business and raised her 4 children with a strong-willed desire to succeed in school and at work. She taught Suzanna to never back down and to stand up for herself and for others when it’s the right thing to do.
Every day in the courtroom, Suzanna takes on the worst of the worst – abusers and sex offenders – to protect victims of domestic violence and child abuse.
In Congress, Suzanna will continue that fight by voting to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), which protects domestic abuse survivors. She will fight to pass legislation like the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, which further prevents discrimination in the workplace.
Most importantly, Suzanna believes women should be able to make their own health care decisions, and will fight back against members of Congress who want to outlaw a woman’s right to choose.
